About
Yumna joined the Musculoskeletal Biomechanics Lab in spring of 2022 to work on studying temperature gradients in evaporating fluids using thermodynamic and heat transfer analysis, as well as fluid mechanics. As a current junior in Mechanical Engineering, Yumna has an immense interest in mechanical systems, and is interested in applying her mechanical engineering classroom experience to the MBL research. In previous years, she has been able to work on many biological research projects regarding DNA replication and genetics, epidemics, coral reefs, and neurobiological functions. She is hoping to translate her prior experiences in Biology research to ME as an undergrad.
Some of Yumna’s other interests include data science, linguistics, painting, going on runs, and baking cakes!
